EHS announces successful installation of its iMat program.

EHS has successfully converted a customer in Hawaii to utilize the Internet for a full Materials Management System. This successful installation will allow the hospital to have remote users access to the materials Management and On Line requisitioning system from anywhere in the world without complicated and expensive line connections. This system is transparent to the end user, and runs faster than if they were connected to their Local Area Network. The customer can utilize all the functions and features of Materials Management, On Line Requisitioning, Invoice Matching, and Accounts Payable including automatic faxing, EDI, and Internet communication to Vendors. EHS again shows that Materials Management Systems do not need to be a part of a larger system to work and work efficiently for the end users. The “best of breed” concept is alive and well. It shows that hospitals don’t have to give up functionality for the sake of being a part of a larger system.
